Barberry OG

Barberry OG is a tincture blend of Barberry Root, Berberis Vulgaris, and Orgeon Grape, Mahonia aquifolium or holly leaved barberry, both which are in the Berberis plant genus, and contain Berberine naturally as their major alkaloid. 

Berberine is a naturally occurring alkaloid that has been studied extensively for its potential health benefits and has been found to have several health-promoting properties (1.). Some of the benefits of berberine include:

• Lowering blood sugar levels: Berberine has been shown to improve insulin sensitivity, which can help lower blood sugar levels in people with diabetes. It functions as a natural GLP-1 agonist.
• Reducing inflammation: Berberine has anti-inflammatory properties, which can help reduce inflammation throughout the body.
• Improving cholesterol levels: Studies have shown that berberine can lower levels of LDL ("bad") cholesterol and triglycerides, while increasing levels of HDL ("good") cholesterol.
